My name is Lizemijn, but you can call me Lili.
I studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts
and I master a wide range of historical and
modern scripts, from the elegant
Copperplate and Spencerian styles, to the
flowing French Roundhand, Uncial, Italic,
Textura, Fraktur, and many more.
My work first gained international attention through
Instagram, where nearly 44,000 people follow my
calligraphy. The Golden Globes discovered my work
there and created a video featuring me writing
calligraphy, which was broadcast world-wide during their prestigious Red Carpet Event.
Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of prestigious brands, including Guerlain,
Louis Vuitton, Cartier, ICI Paris XL, Valentino,
Shell, MAC Cosmetics, Rituals, Skins Cosmetics,
Hugo Boss and Netflix.
I also collaborate with museums, sometimes in
partnership with universities.
At live events I offer personalisation through
calligraphy, engraving, and hot foil, creating unique
pieces for guests while adding an elegant and
memorable element to the brand experience.
My calligraphy has been exhibited at the esteemed
Manna Museum in the heart of Bruges, Belgium.
I appeared as a calligrapher in a music
video, and I will also play a calligrapher in a
major HBO production, set to be released
worldwide at the end of 2026.
As an active member of the Dutch
Calligraphers’ Guild, I serve on its board and
participate in its judging committee. I also
regularly share my expertise through
workshops at museums and major events,
inspiring both beginners and fellow
professionals.
My work has been featured by leading art
supply brands such as Winsor & Newton,
Royal Talens, and Edding, who use my
calligraphy to showcase and promote their
products.
